My beautiful patient underwent a septorhinoplasty and is shown here 3 weeks after surgery. As you can tell in the preoperative photos, the patient had a crooked nose (nose deviates to the right), as well as a dorsal protuberance or a “hump“ along the profile. The patient wished a straighter look to the profile without looking too“slope-y“ or “overdone“. She now has a beautiful profile without being too “upturned”. There is no visualization into the nostrils (“pig nose”) — something patients worry about postoperatively. The crooked nose can be very challenging to fix as at times there can be a high recurrence rate (re-deviation). I have worked on ways over the years to improve this rate of occurrence. The patient’s incision is healing very well at only three weeks. The patient is looking and breathing better!
